Connection live but no internet

I have been having this problem where I will be connected to the internet BUT
can not actually connect to the internet. Firefox and IE both say 'server
not available' IF they will even load that far. My Local Area Connection
Status shows me sending and receiving just fine and when I repair everything
is hunky dory. The only thing that shows a problem are programs that I have
to manually update, i.e. Spybot, Adaware, something that has a search for
update button. That gives me a Socket 10055 error but I can't seem to find
any information on that so I was hoping some one here might know something.
It only happens when I let my computer sit for awhile, but it is not set to
hibernate or to power down ANYTHING EVER so I don't think that is the
problem. I just built the computer and if no one has any ideas I will be
contacting my mobo maker so please if you know something post. Thank you

The "Socket 10055" error is symptomatic of LSP / Winsock corruption.

The "server not available" error could be LSP / Winsock, or it could be an MTU
setting problem.

How do you recover, when you let the computer sit for a while, and get the error

I have to reboot my system to recover, and it might have been socket 10035,
I wrote it down somewhere and I think my wife threw it away, if I get it
again I will clarify sorry. Thanks for the help.
