Hi friends,

I've a strange problem. I have a server(win 2k) with the name SERVER and
clients (XP, ME, 2000 Prof and 2000 Server). From the server i can able to
connect to any client.

But from the client i cannot connect to server( when i issue \\SERVER)
displaying cannot be accessed. Network Path cannot be found).
I've one web application in the server. If i run that application, its
working fine.

If i issue \\SERVER\sharedfoldername

its displaying the contents.

But i can not logon to server(cannot validate your password, even the
password is correct)

Our internet also got problem. May be because of that. very very slow.
connecting and disconnecting.

what could be the problem?

thanks in advance.

Thanx for your reply.

Yes, my server is in Domain controller. ISP supplied DNS server.

Both the Server and the clients must point only to the LAN IP address of the
DC for DNS. Configure the IP address of your ISP's DNS server under the
Forwarders tab of your DNS console on the DC.

Hello,

Thanx for the reply. Since a long time its working fine. I didnt change
anything in the configuration. Suddenly happend like this.
Can you guide me where and what to do in the router? coz i am not so strong
in the router configuration.

Suppose i got the following details from the ISP

Static IP : 202.168.35.12
Subnet: 255.255.255.195
Gateway: 202.168.34.25
DNS server: 202.168.88.2
Stand By: 202.168.88.25

My win2000 advanced server is running with fixed IP and all clients are also
using fixed IP(192.168.0.10-server, 192.168.0.99-client(s))

I've one ASP application in one of my client(win 2000 server). I want to
make it accessible from anywhere thru web. How can i do this?
Pls help me.

Thanks in advance
