Connecting Multiple networks

I want to connect atleast 4 LANs, to my computer all all can communicate. Im
trying to be able to play xbox games and share files between me and my
friends who all have the same high speed cable connection as me with routers.
Is there a way to easily temporaraly connect our networks through our small
towns internet? i tried VPN, but for some reason i cant connect with more
than 1 person, and i have doubts i can connect our xbox's. We all live on a
small island with similiar networks, and connections. i want us to connect
to share files, play games not only for PC, but for Xbox and share files. We
tried just playing xbox over some services but it is just too laggy to have
to go all the way out and back, because none of us have the upload speed for
something that large. Since we live on a small island, i thought itmight be
possible to do it, and connect when we choose?

Hi,

One solution that comes to mind is creating a domain. That way all of you
are on the same domain, then can file share, etc.

That equates to $$$$ when you figure the cost of Servers, the Server
OS, and then all the time/possible classes to learn to configure
DNS/AD and use DCPROMO. Besides, they would then have many separate
domains, all with the same name, and the problem still wouldn't be
solved.
