Connect NT 4.0 to a 2000 Server share, no domain, no authentication.

I have multiple Windows NT 4.0 SP6a workstations (NTFS4).
I have a Windows 2000 server (NTFS5).

There is fax server software on the 2000 server, I don't
have a domain so the users credentials are on their local
PC's.

The NT 4.0 workstations are going to connect to a share on
the 2000 server so they can use the fax software.

Problem -- The share is set up so "everyone" has full
control, but due to the different levels of NTFS (4 vs 5)
the NT 4.0 boxes cannot connect to the 2000 share without
being prompted for a user name and password. This will not
work because I would have to put each person's credentials
on the 2K box. The passwords for these people change every
30 days, it would be far too much work to have the people
come to the 2K box and change their password on that box
in addition to their local PC's and the Novell account.

Question -- Is there any patch or procedure to allow the
NT 4.0 boxes to connect to the 2K share without being
prompted for a username and password by using
the "everyone" rights? (Similar to how a NT box can
connect to a NT box or how a 2K box can connect to a NT or
2K box without authentication.)

Thanks

Please ignore this question, I was misinformed and I am
going to be doing this a different way. Thank you.
