Configure remote desktop on a notebook

Alberto

Hi, I have a notebook and I want to connect it to a Server 2003 with the
Remote Desktop.
I want to use the same connection when the move is inside the intranet as in
case I move it to my home and use my own connection.

Must I have 2 profiles to use or I can configure a profile ( .rdp file) that
can connect to the server with the appropiate IP (it knows if the server is
in 192.168.... or in 80.8....)?

Thanks.

If you mean what I think you mean then as long as you can resolve the server
name then you can use the same RDP connection

E.G you have a server called exchange on the LAN at work and a server called
exchange on the LAN at home. You won't be able to use saved credentials
though, unless you happen to have the same domain name and server name,
login name and password, such as in a home test scenario, duplicating the
work domain etc.
