Configuration to Sent Folders after Import from Outlook Express

Hi,

I have used Outlook Express for over 10 years; but, I finally made the move
to Outlook 2003. (Once I get comfortable that everything is set up properly,
I will be moving the data from the Outlook 2003 system to Outlook 2007 on the
system I use daily.

I am trying to get comfortable with the information that I imported from
Outlook Express. I have emails going back 10 years organized in various
folders under the Inbox and Outbox. When I imported the Outlook Express
information into Outlook 2003, the folder structure came through without any
problems.

The one minor problem that I currently have concerns the display of email
under the various folders under the Sent folder. I am able to add the "sent"
field to each folder; however, I have quite a few subfolders under the main
Sent folder. I am looking for a way to add the "sent" field to each folder's
display, and to set the column width uniformly for each folder.

I have browsed through the various posts here; but, I haven't run across the
same problem.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

With only a few exceptions, mail folders use the "Messages" view by default.
One of those exceptions is the Sent Items folder which uses the "Sent To"
view by default. However, the parent of a subfolder conveys no special
function to the subfolder, so the Sent Items subfolders are not seen as
folders containing sent items and so they, too, use the "Messages" view by
default. In my opinion, the easiest thing to do is to visit each subfolder
and change the view to "Sent To".
