Sent Mail in IMAP Folders

When sending mail using Outlook Express with an account configured for IMAP
access, you get the option for sent mail to be saved on your IMAP server (On
the IMAP Tab). All mail sent is stored in the IMAP folder and not in the
local Sent folder, which is what I want.

In Outlook 2003 there is no IMAP tab and all sent mail is stored in
Outlook's local Sent folder, NOT on the IMAP SERVER! Therefore the Sent mail
in not available unless I look at it on the computer where it was sent,
somewhat defeating the purpose of IMAP access.

How can I configure Outook to behave the same as Outlook Express in this
regard?

AFAIK, Outlook 2003 does not offer this option. Outlook 2007 does (but I
could be mistaken, I don;t use IMAP)

Thanks Milly. I see that option in Outlook 2007. Now I'm wondering if I
should upgrade my entire enterprise to 2007 to make use of that option.

Outlook 2003 can simulate the option using a rule.

mail, only sometimes does the mail end up in the folder, and most of the
time, the sent mail just pops back into the IMAP inbox?

That could very well be due to server behavior. Gmail has that tendency, in
my experience.
