Computer turns on with different user

We have a w2k computer in a network that has started turning on as
a different user (Administrator). It is used with the user name "Joan"
and turned off when in that mode. But lately, it is turned on and none
of the proper icons are on the desktop and it can't get into the LAN
with that user name (Administrator). So the user of that computer
(Joan) has to log off and then log back on as Joan in order to see her
icons and in order to get on the LAN. Since Joan is the Secretary and
the first person in each morning, she is upset at this break in her routine.

Does anyone know why this would happen or more importantly, how
to fix it??

Thanks

Sounds like the computer is set to automatically log in on boot, a very insecure situation for an office computer. Otherwise, she would get a password prompt and could easily change the user name if needed. To fix that, go to Control Panel, select Users and Passwords, put a checkmark in the box that requires users to log in, click apply.
