I network two computers together expecting to share files, on one i can view
both computers but on the other when i try to view the computers a message
saying

\\Computer is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resourse.

Access is denied.

Any suggestions to stop this from happening

Go to start, control panel. Click on the user icon. Activate the guest
account.

If that doesn't cure it, set up a user with the same username and password
on the other machine.

If that doesn't cure it, it could be a firewall problem.

You need to have the same users on each machine.

Also need to setup a home or small office network on EACH machine, and as
mentioned, ensure that each machine is permitted access by the firewall of
the other.

Those are typical messages caused by firewalls. Also caused by
computers not being shared out, i.e. no folders being shared.
You can test whether or not firewalls are causing the problem by
temporarily turning them all off. Don't forget to turn them all back on
after the short test. A good home networking tutorial for this purpose
can be found at
