Computer Management Console

[Dr Teeth]

Whether I call up the Computer management console by 'compmgmt.msc' at
the command line or use a shortcut, nothing appears in the window to
the right of the console tree.

How do I get everything back? I have been googling the problem, but
have not come up with anything useful.

I don't know if it's related, but the MSDTC service won't run.
