WHEN I ENTER THE NET SEND COMMAND ITS SAYS "SENDING FILES IS NO LONGER
SUPPORTED". THEN IT REFERS ME TO NET HELPMSG 3777 WHICH THEN SAYS THE SAME
EXACT THING. WHATS GOING ON? RUNNING XP PRO W/ SP2 UPGRADE FROM XP HOME.

First fix your keyboard. The "Caps Lock" key seems to be broken.

You receive an "An error occurred while sending a message to <ComputerName>"
error message when you run the net send command to send a message to a Windows
XP Service Pack 2-based computer

Is the messenger service running? Are you trying to send a file, or just
a message?

The message you quote seems to mean that support for file sends with the Net
Send command has been discontinued, i.e. you can't do that anymore, though
you may have been able to in the past. This is probably a security
measure.

Messenger service has to be running on both computers before it will work use
the following at the cmd prompt
net send pcname message and it should work.
