CLuster Service on IBM Hardware

G

Gondin Pedro

I have this configuration:

2 server xSeries 360 with 2 interal scsi hard disk
mirrored by win2k;
2 cards ServerRaid 4MX Ibm on each server;
1 External storage EXP300 Ibm connected the two server's.

I need setup the cluster service in windows 2000, when
startup the first server, this server can create a raid 5
volume. But, when statup the second server in paralel,
this server stop's all disk's in the first server and
anywhere can see the volume Raid 5.

My question is?

I can't install cluster server if the two server cannot
see the volume 5 after the two server's startup?

Please,help!

Clustering with SCSI is a pain in the neck, especially compared to the
relative ease (though more expensive) of using fibre. If you go to
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com you can download some pretty detailed
documentation on setting up a SCSI based cluster with IBM hardware.
Basically, you're going to have to setup the ServeRAID controllers for
clustering, install some special IBM clustering components on the
servers, and go from there.
