Client for MS Networks and File and Printer Sharing won't install

I have the same problem for both. When I put a check in the check box and
click OK at the bottom in Local Area connection Properties I get the
following message...

"Your current selection will also disable the following components:
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

Are you sure you want to disable these components?

Yes/No"
I have no idea why this is happening because I want them to work.

thanks,
chuck

The local area network connection is corrupted. Go to Device Manager
and un-install the network adapter that the connection uses, which
will delete the network connection. Then, re-install the network
adapter, which will create a new network connection.
