Client for Microsoft Networks

Suddenly I cannot access the internet on my Sony Vaio laptop. The only thing
I can see wrong is a shaded box (check mark is there) in the properties
window of my internet connection for Client for Microsoft Networks. I tried
to install this, but when I add "client" I get an error message that says
drivers are not installed for this device. My Sony Vaio did not come with
any XP Home Edition installation disks, so I don't know where or how to add
this component. I tried to revert to a previous restore point, but nothing
seems to happen when I do this. HELP PLEASE!!

Look at the Network Adapter in the Device Manager and confirm that it is
running properly. You can have Windows reinstall the drivers for the
adater from the Device Manager.
