clearing passwords

Hello,

I am using XP Home SP2. I am trying to "clear passwords" from IE 6. I do
so from Options, Content, and the Autocomplete area of the window. When I
try this, IE hangs. Any suggestions to fix this?

Hi,
You may have a damaged registry key.

Try this:
With no programs open,
Run REGEDIT and make your way to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
IntelliForms
SPW
Export that key (Registry> Export- just in case you wish to undo the
change) then delete it- just the SPW key.
Restart the computer.

Hello Don,

Thanks for the tip. That did clear the passwords but I tried, even with all
the passwords gone, to use the clear passwords button and IE still hangs up
and also slows down the computer too. Any further suggestions?
