Cleaning temoprary files

I have cleaned .tmp files from temp folder, run %temp%.
I removed only .tmp files, but there is also many other files: many .TXT,
..XML files, few .MTX files, few HTML files, one .DMP file, one application
( setup_vm, 'Microsoft Windows Media Configuration Utility'), plus near 10
folders, 3 from them have pft173~tmp extension. What to do with this files?

thanks

There should be nothing kept for any length of time in the Temporary
folder. That's why it's called "Temporary". Reboot the computer and
then delete any files in there.

No, only the stuff IN that one.
And look around for other TMP or TEMP folders...
And adopt a habit for yourself, NEVER to put anything NOT temporary in
a TMP/TEMP folder...

Not clear: temporary folder (%temp%) contain not only .tmp and .xml files,
but various folders also. Should I remove also all this folders?

A good one, recommended in alt.comp.freeware

I will take a look - have seen it mentioned often but not always with kind
words.
I think I have as good if not better one - still looking through it - it
clears everything that is a temp - well it says it will ;-) - will let you
know.

Hi Alias
This is what I have been looking at - its a method of cleaning all 'temp'
items.
Rather like the idea - don't have to download another prog. onto the
computer.

Just don't mess with the Issues feature.
