Changing format in task fields

I am trying to add a user defined field to a task view. I would like the
format of this column to be text with a popup menu (much like the "Status"
task field) but cannot find a way to add this format. I can add text, but no
popup menu.

Is there a way to do this?

Outlook does not support user-defined drop-down lists in views.
