Changed Template; Apply to 'Child' Documents?

So I've created a template with about 12 or so Layouts, all of which are used
in my presentation.

I'd like to change ONE of the elements on ONE of the Layouts in the template
(changing a company logo), and apply that change to the documents using that
template and Layout.

Without having to do lots of retyping!

Thanks

Hi

Just change the one layout.... But there's more to the question than that
isn't there? Are you having problems with it? If it's that you cannot select
the element you wish to change, then you'll need to right click the
background -> format background -> tick 'hide background graphics' then
recreate the elements you do want (copy/pasting from the mother master
should work) and add the new logo.

No there's no more than that.

Many presentations created with one template (*.potx) file.

Corporate logo changed.

In word, you can go under Options or Customize or something and apply a new
template... Looking for something like that in PPT.

Thanks

Hi

As Steve says, you will have to apply the new template to each presentation
manually. There are a few ways to do this - my preferred 2 are:
Open a blank presentation based on the new template -> Home -> New Slide
drop down -> Reuse Slides -> Open a PowerPoint File -> ensure 'keep source
formatting is unticked -> Right click a slide thumbnail -> Insert All Slides
Alternatively, save the template as a theme (it will save the layouts,
colour scheme, font scheme & effects scheme but not the individual slides)
then apply the theme to the existing presentations. For more on themes see
Echo's article here:
