I'm sure Microsoft won't mind someone reporting to them about someone who
won't abide by their "BS rules".

Kurttrail,

After reading some of your prior posts, you sound like a disgruntled
Junior High computer science student.

There were no such things as PCs when I was in Junior High, and no
computer science classes or students, little boy.
Is this true?

Figure it out for my last sentence.
Move on Kurt.

You sound like a Microsoft ad!

http://i.microsoft.com/h/en-us/i/move_up_2_8.jpg

Nope, the MS ad is Move Up, not move on!

But my version is a better version as a response to you!

Oh,
I'm in the wrong newsgroup?

If you have to ask, then you are! Especially if you are deluding
yourself that you can go toe to toe with me!

If you know what it good for you, you'd just stay out of what is between
me and the Moron. He is being taught a lesson, and you really don't
want to be next!

No need to state the effin' obvious!

Try it yourself before you speak. Go ahead, and look on HP website.
You know what, since you are so smart, I won't even tell you AGAIN
what model burner I have, so you can find that among this thread.

Features supported by the Microsoft(R) Windows XP IDE driver

The driver needed for HP IDE devices to function as readers is supplied
with the operating system. The Windows XP IDE driver allows the
operating system to detect the HP CD-Writer hardware and allows the
drive to function as a CD reader. However, Windows XP compatible CD
writing software is needed for the drive to function as a writer.

Features not supported with the Windows XP IDE driver

An IDE driver will only allow the drive to function as a reader. Windows
XP-compatible CD recording software is necessary to allow the drive to
write to CD-R and CD-RW media.

And the necessary software IS downloadable. ROFL!

Hi Tony

See here:

CD-R drive or CD-RW drive is not recognized as a recordable device
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316529/

If that doesn't work, maybe you should look into downloading new
drivers or firmware for your drive.

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that the 20th Century CD burner is
toast, if I actually trusted the Moron to tell the truth! The 7200 were
major pieces of shit, and can't even write to 80 minute CDRs! It's
specs are 2x2x6! And the moron is gonna throw out good money for a
driver CD for this dinosaur of a drive!

The Driver and Software CD is gonna cost him at least $10.

For $24, shipping included, he could by a new one, and get an OEM copy
of Nero to boot!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827190011

Or if he really wasn't a moron, he save up to buy a DVD burner for about
twice the price of this CD Burner!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...erty&SubCategory=5&PropertyCodeValue=365:6653

But moron wants to get his Jurasic Burner running no matter what! ROFL!

You got it! I will send in a report, not just this time, but EVERY TIME I
see that you have gone off topic, verbally abused someone in the newsgroups,
etc... as listed in the "Rules of conduct", and the "Terms of use". They
might not have censored you before, but as you stated yourself, that was the
past. You can't live in the past. The past is something we can only refer
to. We'll refer to Drew's post for a moment, and say "Move on Kurt." I'm
sure Microsoft will eventually get around to it, especially when they will
become tired of report after report coming in, all referring to you.

So? OE with some help from OE quotefix is a pretty damned good
text-based newsreader!
Too stupid to install Linux, eh?

Not even Live Linux CDs will boot on my multimedia computer. But
funny thing, MS's server OS will. Linux isn't capable of running on
as diverse hardware as MS's OSs are.

But let me know when Linux is a TRUE multimedia desktop OS, and not
just a very good server OS, and I'll be there!
What a f--king loser.

Ooh! That hurt . . . you, since you are using the Windows version of
Thunderbird! What's da matta wit you?!

And what is my newsreader now? I use Agent mostly for binary NGs, and
OE with Quotefix for text based NGs. It is a matter of preference,
mine, and no pussy like you is gonna tell me differently!

Nah, I ("Moron", as the dense like to call me) don't need the CD anymore, I
found the original. So, scratch that. Why should I buy a burner, with
software, when this is the first problem I have ever had with CD burning on
Windows XP, and Windows Media Player 10? Kurt, don't even bother answering,
unless you are going to give GOOD, and PROVABLE reasons. No one wants your
dense opinions.

Where did I state that? I said, "It's not like MS has never censored me

Double negative, Scheiße-für-Gehirne!

And the link I gave was a sampling of posts of mine that MS HAS
censored!

You can't live in the past.

I don't. Did I not say that "I'd love the opportunity to add a post to

The

Actually, maybe that is true for morons, for those with wisdom, the past
is something to learn from!

Or they may just think you are some kind of Cyber-stalker, as my ISP
considers the person that has repeatedly spamcopped me to them.

See, there really is nothing wrong with having my opinion that you are a
dullard. Hell, you have admitted that you are an idiot!

Efficiency! Your 2x burner burns a CDR in about 45 minutes, and can't
write to 80min Cars! A new 52x will burn a 80min CDR in around 3
minutes.

But a moron like you probably couldn't handle the Ferrari-like speeds of
modern CD burners, you would much rather prefer waiting 3/4 of an hour!
Not to mention all the burning capabilities that Nero is able to do
compared to the rather limited CD burning functionality of Windows
burning-challenged middleware. But you wouldn't be able to figure out
all the cool stuff that can be done with modern burners, especially
DVD±RW drives!

Stay Homo sapiens neanderthalensis! You probably wouldn't like life as
Homo sapiens sapiens!

"The past is something we can only refer to." So you reply with, "Actually,
maybe that is true for morons, for those with wisdom, the past is something
to learn from!", then you refer to it (the past) yourself, "Hell, you have
admitted that you are an idiot! ("I am an idiot" - Tony Norman) ("I'm a
moron?" - Tony Norman)" So, if referring to the past is something that
"morons" do.....

(I'd rather be a foolish person, and/or a mentally deficient person, and
admit it, than be a foolish person, and/or a mentally deficient person, and
pretend as if I knew everything.)

If you read the thread at the above link, you'll see that even with my

And if read the whole thread you'll see where the MS's censors removed
posts where I made fun of myself! Boy, I got so angry at myself, I had
to turn myself into MS!
