After successfully writing photos on a CD-R disc, I immediately went to view
what I wrote, and lost all but the few photos I last wrote on the disc. I
viewed my event log and got the following message:
Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 7
Source: Cdrom
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: IO_ERR_BAD_BLOCK
Message: The device, %1, has a bad block.
Explanation
The device has a bad block of memory, which Windows attempted to read. The
data might be missing or corrupted.
Is the disc salvageable or totally gone, lost 4-ever, corrupt? Can I take
it somewhere to confirm that the disc is (fingers crossed) salvageable?
Photos are irreplacable ...
