catalog.wci

I've turned off system restore services and indexing services.

After doing so I checked the directory system volume information and
found directory catalog.wci. Searching the net I found that
catalog.wci is 'created on your web server during the installation of
Microsoft Index Server".

I have no web server. I do have Skype installed (a phone application)
that will use my computer as a server of sorts.

Can someone shed more light on the existence to catalog.wci directory?
