can't view previews of photos

Hello. For some reason when I am in Explorer, I can no longe see icon images
of my photos. Just a "JPEG" graphic appears instead of a thumbnail of each
image. No matter what I do, I can't preview the image.

Also, in Outlook now, when I receive a photo attachment with an email, I can
no longer view the photo by simply double clicking in Outlook. I have to copy
the file somewhere and open it with a photo editor.

Can anyone help me get things back to the way they were?

1. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools and Internet options. In the opening
window, click on the Delete files button to delete your Temporary Interet
files.
2. Click on Start and click on Run. Copy the following command and paste it
in the textbox of Run and press the Enter key:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

If you prefer to type in the above command in the textbox, make sure you
include a space between ...32 and SHI...

My name is Randy and for the last 4 months I could not get previews of my
pictures in My Pictures. I went to ms and saw your answer to "BoliviaSue" and
did want you told her to do, and it worked for me. I want to thank you very
very much. I do a lot of photo editing and it was frusting not to see
preview. Randy
