Can't uninstall application after upgrading from 98SE

I recently upgraded from 98SE to XP. During the installation process,
it told me that a certain program would not run under XP and would have
to be removed and then reinstalled. I guess the message meant that I
should uninstall it before installing XP, but I didn't realize that.
Now that I have XP, when I go to Add/Remove programs (or the program's
Uninstaller) I get "Setup requires a different version of Windows.
Check to make sure that you are running Setup on the platform for which
it is intended. Error 102."

The program is Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. How do I uninstall it now?
(A companion program, Adaptec CreateCD uninstalled with no problems.)

I suppose I could try reinstalling it without deleting the old version
first, but I don't want to try that, in case it causes more problems.

Try roxi-zap.

Thanks. Actually, before getting this I tried re-installing anyway,
even though I couldn't uninstall first. At least it installed an
XP-compatible uninstaller, so I was able to uninstall.

But I'll keep your suggestion in mind in case a similar problem comes up
in the future. Thanks.

OT: Now if only I hadn't delayed doing my income taxes 'til the last
moment, when TurboTax (or the IRS?) is too clogged up to accept my return!
