cant send or receive mail

Everything fine until last Thursday night. Now i cannot send or receive.
receive error:

running vista using avg.....no norton or mcafee....have emptied all mailboxes.

running vista using avg.....no norton or mcafee....have emptied all
mailboxes.
can anyone help me?

Did you use the standard install for AVG? If so, it sometimes helps to
uninstall it, then do a custom install where you tell it to leave out the
part that scans email.

Did you ever have Norton or McAfee installed? Their uninstall
programs often fail to remove the parts of these programs that
cause problems in Windows Mail.

It sometimes helps to remove your email account under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and add the account again.

NetZero claims they can't find your mailbox.
Or, it could be that you're connected to someone else who won't forward it
for spam fighting reasons, although that is rare with port 587.
