Can't see the task bar at the bottom of the screen

I enable remote desktop one one computer (runs XP Professional) and
successfully log onto that computer from another computer via LAN. But I
cannot see the task bar at the bottom for me to click the "Start" button.
How do I make it appear on my remote desktop?

Does the remote PC have its task bar in an auto hide mode? Try moving the
cursor down to the bottom of the desktop and see if it magically pops up.
