Can't see other computer

I have two computers running Windows XP. I ran the Network setup wizard on
both. Both PCs are connected directly to a hub which connects to the
internet. Both PCs can access the internet and see their own shared files but
they don't see the other computer or it's shared files. Both PCs show the
same network and have different names.
PS. Hd a network set up before on older computers running win95 through this
hub.
PSS. Ping don't mean a thing to me at this point.

There are various possibilities for your problem. A misconfigured or overlooked
personal firewall is currently the most common, but there are others too.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles (follow the links!!), and follow instructions precisely:

And make Ping something meaningful! Ping is the most common, and universally
used, utility for testing connectivity.

Ping now means something. I can ping each IP address but it's no go on the
computer names. Here is some info if it helps.

Ken,

One connection but 2 IP addresses? Well, all ISPs are not the same. Anyway,
glad you got it sorted.
