Can't save pictures except as bmp

Just two days ago, when I tried to save a web photo which
was a jpeg, the only option I got when I right-clicked on
it was to save it as a bmp. For whatever reason, the
ability to save phtos as anything but bmps has gone away.
Anyone have a cure?
