can't save images

Lately, everytime I right click on an image to save it to
my computer, it defaults to "untitled.bmp" even when I
know a file is a gif or jpg. I can email it to myself as
te proper type of file, but can't save it that way? How
come? I can't find anywhere to change any settings.

Clear out the temproary internet files, and then try again.
