Cant run 16-Bit Windows Program

I'm trying to install the free version of AVG AntiVirus, download was
successful but when I click on setup a window pops up called "Cant Run 16
Bit Windows Program" and it carries the message "Cannot find file
C:\Documents and Settings\Tony\Local Settings\Temp\WZS32.tmp\setup.exe(or
one of its components).Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and
that all required libraries are available."

I've checked the Temp folder it refers too which is there and empty as I
would expect but why wont the setup continue? Is there something missing?
I've had problems trying to install AVG before getting the same message but
now I wont to know whats causing this.

Just a thought...

Search your other \temp directories on your hd and see whether the files are
there. If so, copy them to the folder specified and try again.

Or, if you have some other folder where your downloads go, look there, too.

Hi,
Clean up all the temporary files/internet files,remove all the previous
AVG installations.
from where are you trying to download the set up?try from
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php

Thanks but I've already downloaded from the official grisoft site,got the
email link,clicked on it and performed a save on my HD to desktop.When I
click on the AVG icon its supposed to be self extracting with no further
involvement from me but I still get the error message .

I 've tried putting the saved AVG file in the mentioned temp folder but that
has no effect either.

I've sorted this now apparently I had to save to a new folder and run Winzip
to extract the setup file!! It worked and have installed it successfully.
