Can't rememer how to get to the Menu

Hi,
How do you get to the system menu that has;boot;startup;sevices? etc.
The one for diagnostics;where you can see all the startup processes and boot
info etc. can't remember. Specifcally;my daughter put AOL on here and I
can't find a way to make it NOT run at startup-no option in the AOL program.
Help???
