Can't Post Using IE

ADKR

I am able to post in this and other MS newsgroups but only when using the
Firefox browser. When I use IE and click on new question it just reloads the
current page and not the new question page. I shut off pop-up blocker, tried
holding down the CTRL key, but cannot seem to make it work. Thanks for the
ideas.

perhaps, using outlook
express via the link above
will make your posting
experience a bit more
enjoyable.

I am hesitant to click on your like because of the way it looks. I cannot
afford to welcome a problem into my already cranky system.

Thanks PA Bear. You have been a real help to me recently. I am somewhat
amused that there isn't and IE solution and that Firefox works fine. I still
feel like we are on the frontier sometimes.

Try using a proper newgroup program instead of the www hack.

I'm not sure you got someones suggestion. You are trying to use a web
browser and you should be using a news reader program. Like outlook
express, thunderbird, and a slew of others. IE 6 or 7 or Firefox
were not written for newsgroups. You can but shouldn't?

Don't use ANY web browser to access newsgroups - use a newsreader (such as
Outlook Express).

Symptom gone.

I take it that you are using IE7.

Have you tried using Add
/Remove Programs to remove it.

That goes back to an earlier version.

You can then download and install IE7 again.

It works for me, so it must be corrupt on your PC.

Thanks for the help everyone. I have taken you up on the using a news
reader. That takes care or the issue without any reinstall, etc.
