Can't install or uninstall acrobat pro, acropro.msi error

I get an error message that doesn't let me use acrobat pro 7.0.8 properly, it
doesn't work properly, I can't create pdf document, the result is a .txt file
like this

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams; ErrorInfo:
CalCMYKProfile U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I tried to reinstall acrobat pro but when I trying to do that I get this
error message "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch
package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor
to verify that this is valid Windows Installer Patch Package", it's related
to acropro.msi. I can't either remove all the program because I get the same
error message.

I use windows xp sp2, laptop hp with 1gb of ram, 80 gb hard disk. The
problem above began after a system restore.

Thank you for your help
