Can't Install New Fonts

I am running Windows 2000 SP4 and am trying to install
some new fonts. There is no "Install New Fonts" option on
the file menu in the font folder. The drag & drop method
is not installing the fonts either! Does anyone out there
no how to resolve this issue? Your help would be
appreciated.
