Can't install IE6 on WinNT4 server.

Server is WinNT4 SP6 acting as a fileserver.

I have tried so many times to install IE6 on an NT4 server with SP6, but
keep getting the following error:

Setup was unable to install all the components. Please close all
applications and try running setup again.

I've tried everything, even stopping unnecessary services, but I just can't
get it to work.

I assume you mean SP6a, since that is the pre-req for installing IE6 on NT4.

Have you tried disabling your A/V software while installing?
