Can't get rid of shadow in text box

I've created a slide with lots of autoshapes and now need to label them but
when I type in the text boxes the text has a shadow. I'm not selecting this
option and if I turn the option on and then off, it makes no difference i.e.
the shadow does not disappear/reappear. I'd be really grateful if anybody
knows how to resolve this. Thanks.

OK - try this

Insert a rectangle. If it has a drop shadow from the Draw toolbar (View >
Toolbars > Draw if it's not visible) use the Shadow Style tool (rectangle
wwith drop shadow) to apply "No Shadow"

Right click the box and choose Set Autoshape Defaults

Now see if text is unshadowed??
