Running XP Pro SP1 with IE6 SP1. All of a sudden none of my favorite
ftp sites open in the browser. They open fine in the Firefox browser
but stopped/timeout in IE.
I even typed the ftp address manually in the address bar and when I
click "go" the little icon that used to change to a little folder with
ftp next to it doesn't show either. After clicking go it changes to
the ie icon and times out.
If I go into tools>internet options>advanced and check the "Enable
Folder View For FTP Sites", which I never had checked before, the
browser address bar then changes to an ftp address, ie:
ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/pub/ but instead of opening the page that
little windows default search lite starts and nothing else happens.
Any ideas on how I can get this working as it always did before?
