Can't delete corrupted email from Outbox

On my mother's Vista-notebook there is an email in the Outbox which seems to
be corrupted, possibly because my mother tried to add a way too large
attachment to it. Anyway, the contents of the email is not shown in the
splitscreen, instead it says something like "Can't show the contents"
(translated). I am trying to delete this email from the Outbox but I can't,
because if I do it comes up with a message like "Can't delete this file".
The email múst be deleted though, because it's blocking all other emails
that are in the Outbox. Sending emails is not really possible at this
moment.
Thinking I was clever, I searched the Explorer (Show hidden files = ON) for
the physical file that contains the email to delete it over there, but there
was nothing there in the outbox-directory! So it looks like the email
doesn't physically exist, but as said, it's shown in the mail's Outbox!

Could anyone tell me how to delete this email from the outbox?

Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

See if this helps, it works for all folders:

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista
