Can't copy photos to cd-inaccessible?

Hi, I am trying to copy pictures from "my pictures" to a CD-R. I am getting
a message stating "d:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function". Any ideas?
The drive is working otherwise.
Thanks

Check that the drive is accessible to XP.
After you open My Computer, right click on your CD drive listed there. Click
on Properties on the opening menu and click on the Recording tab in the
opening window. Then check the box "Enable...."
