I have windows XP the copy to cd is missing from My Pictures Folder.I have
SP2 installed and all my drivers updated. When I put in a blank CD-R and
select the drive I receive and error message "D:\ is not accessible incorrect
function. I tried
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL but it still does not create a file so I can burn
from.I can read dvd's and cd's and download from my D drive.I have a DVD/CD-R
drive on my laptop with DLA software. Is there another way I can create a file
and write it to my cd without purchasing software or can this problem be
fixed?

Dear John,

I have the same problem and went through all the links you provided. Now, I
know why there is this problem but I still can not solve it. I always get
either one of the error messages as described in "(826510) You cannot write
to a DVD-RAM disc
that is in a DVD-RAM/CD-RW combination drive
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=826510"

Is there any other help and/or solution?

Thanks

Maybe your drive needs cleaning or replacing...
I had a similar issue on a brand new machine
and after the DVD burner was replaced the
problems cleared up.
