Can't browse internet using Remote Desktop

I cannot browse internet (IE 7 or Fixrefox 2.0) when accessing PC via Remote
desktop. Getting cannot display web page error. Auto updates run, time sync
runs, FTP OK so I know I have a connection. I can browse if I go to PC
locally and access web pages just fine, its only happening if I access PC
via remote desktop. Window diognastic indicates probelm with winsock
provider catalog. What's that mean? Can anyone point me in the right
direction?

Is it possible the remote computer has a group policy to block the Internet
access?

I don't think so since I can browse internet if I'm physcially at that PC.

The remote PC is part of my home network and share the internet connection
through a router. I am not using ICS
