can't block cookies

Robin

After installing ie 6SP1, I am being flooded with cookies.
So much so that my browser keeps locking up. I have
emptied the cookie and internet temp file folders and set
my 'privacy advanced' tab on 'block all cookies' and they
are still pounding me... I mean by the hundreds just from
ONE web page. Since I only have an old pentium II(winME),
all those cookies are stripping what little sys. resources
I have and I keep crashing.

I'm at a loss. I can't possibly set my privacy settings
any higher than "block all cookies".

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Nope... good answer though.
I forgot to mention that I use both Ad-aware and
Spysweeper. Also use AVG anti-virus and an anti-virus tool
that came with my Fix-it-Utilities software. There is no
spyware or virus. This problem just started after
installing the IE6 service pack1. Thanks...

Running AdAware and Spysweeper is not enough to check for spyware/adware.
