Can't Auto Connect To Internet

I just replaced a router and now my computer does not automatically connect
to the internet when I turn it on. When I select Internet Explorer, it
displays a blank screen indicating that I am not connected. I then have to
manually go through the connection process. Prior to replacing the router, I
justed turned on the computer and when Windows loaded, I was already
connected to the internet. Can someone tell me how to set up IE so it will
automatically connect to the internet when Windows loads. I'm using WinXP HM
SP2 with a DSL Modem and Linksys Router. Thanks for the help. Mac

Thanks for the replay Brian. Not sure about router configuration. I just
replace the old router with a new one. Same model but never version. I just
plugged it in and plugged in the cables. Can't remember how I'm supposed to
set up the routers default IP. Can you tell me how to do it. I don't know
if it makes a difference but I can connect to the internet by going into
Network Connections and selecting the connection and starting it up manually.

Dear Mack,

I hope your connection must be an unlimited account with static IP
address. If you have configured the Router properly, then you I suggest you
to just clear all the history of the internet exploer.

Under the menu of tools --> Internet option. You will find the
"Connection Tab", Set up once again selecting

- Automatically detect proxy settings and this will do the job as far as
my knowledge is concern.

thanks and regards
