I am using XP Home SP2, when I launch Firefox my home page comes up,
but when I want to go to my banking site it times out, same goes for
IE, I can surf and wander around but anytime I try to go to a site that
may be secure I time out and cannot do anything. I have checked all my
security features, shut off windows firewall( I use Zonealaram) and
still am unable to get to those sites. I have also used my other
computer to view its defaults and copied them exactly to this machine,
I am using PRO on the other machine so some of the defaults are a bit
different. Anyone know whats going on with this problem, how can I fix
it without doing a re and re of XP. I have all the patches installed
along with SP2 so my machine is current. I also use MS Anti spyware,
Lavasoft, and search and destroy. I have EZ Trust with the EZ
Firewall(Zonealarm), also have installed MS Office 2k. The machine is
an AMD64 3200 in an ASUS K8N-E deluxe Main bored,Nforce3 or 4(?),1.5gig
crucial ddr pc 3200 memory,Radeon AGP 256mb vid,Audigy 2, 1 DVD optorite
burner, 1 LiteOn dvd burner, 1 Liteon DVD reader, 1 LiteOn cd burner,WD
200gig S-ATA2 hdd, WinFast tuner card, ext 250mb IOmega zip, LG 17"
LCD. Logitech MX 700 wireless m&kb and an Antec with a 450 watt Antec
p/s. I am giving this info in case someone might need it to help with
an answer. I did put the 2nd(LiteOn) dvd burner & the cd burnerin
recently this seems to be the time my machine started acting up with
the security problem. the hardware probably doesn't have anything to
do with the problem I am having but "ya never know, huh?" Can anyone
help, this is driving me up a wall, not to mention being reduced to
actually going into my bank to pay my bills etc. Sorry for the long
thread but I wanted to give as much info as possible to shortent he
game of tag that ensues after such a question. Thanx in advance for
any help
I accept email answers too PLEASE HELP>>>>>>>>>PLEASE

Hi

Your Security settings in Internet Explorer may be too high. If the
settings are not set to Default, try that.
