Can't access password protected forums

In the past few days I haven't been able to access any of my forums that
require a username and password. I am using IE 6. When I click on the
link, the window pops up and ask me for a username and password as usual. I
enter the info and the username/password window repeats itself as if I
entered the wrong info. I have check the usernames and passwords and they
are correct. I can access other forums that don't require a password.

Have any Ideas,

Not to sound dumb but how do I clear the cash. I know how to delete tempory
internet files and cookies
