Cannot start Help and Support from Control Panel

Something happened to my Windows XP - it refuses to open Help and Support from Start panel or Control Panel, producing instead the Error message "...cannot find helpctr.exe". The same Error message also pops up when trying to open Msconfig from Start - Run - Msconfig . Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex,

Start/run and type in: helpctr -regserver or to totally reinstall help
and support, assuming you installed to C:
Make hidden folders visible first and then go to
C:\windows\inf\pchealth.inf right-click and choose install. You will
need the XP cd.

Good luck

Thanks, Roger! I re-installed as you suggested and Help and Support is now working properly. I now have to sort out msconfig - it runs if I type the full path but not if you just type Start.Run>msconfig.
Kind Regards,
Alex_R.
