Cannot join XP to the domain 2000.

Hi

I do not know whether this is the right group I should
post to. Please help or correct me.

Windows Server 2000
Clients 2000 pro

Every thing is ok.

Tried to join to the domain 2 mobile XPs newly purchased,
and got the error message as follows:

"The specified server cannot perform the requested
operation."

I have looked at:

TCP/IP is installed.

There is nothing in the Server Event log.

Anyone can help please ?
