Cannot exit design mode for TextBox error

I keep getting the error "Can't exit design mode because control 'Textbox
1312' can't be created in a form. I replaced all of the textboxes with new
ones but the error still shows. Is there an easy way to fix this as I cannot
exit the data design for the form until I do. I did not create the form and I
am stuck - please help!!

Let's start by finding the textbox that's causing the problem. If you bring
up the control Properties pane, and drop the dropdown at the top of it, is
"Textbox 1312" listed? If so, selecting it in the dropdown should select it
in the document, and you can delete or replace it.

I tried that unfortunately using both the dropdown box and the find feature
and cannot locate it. I appreciate your help though :)

Check for Tracked Changes. If it is on, turn it off, then Accept All
changes in the document. It may be that the bad text box is part of a
pending deletion. It won't appear because it is about to be deleted, but
because it hasn't yet been deleted it is preventing the exit of design mode.

If that doesn't find it, you could try a Maggie:

1) Create a new blank document

2) Carefully select all of the text in the bad document EXCEPT the last
paragraph mark

3) Copy it.

4) Paste in the new document.

5) Save under a new file name and close all, then re-open.

This technique for de-corrupting is known around the world as "Doing a
'Maggie'", after Margaret Secara from the Word PC-L mailing list who first
publicised the technique.

Cheers
