"Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk."

Wife did something that put a hidden file ("Fwd_ On A Lighter
Note.............,") on our XP SP2 desktop (C:\Documents and
Settings\Roy\Desktop). It has nothing declared in its properties, except
that it is a 0 KB file.

Please, how do I get rid of it?

It sounds like your hidden desktop setting. Go to any folder click tools,
folder options, view, look down on the hidden folder icon and check , do not
show hidden files or folders. see if that helps.

Thanks, Paul, but that would prevent me from seeing other hidden files and
folders. Wouldn't actually get rid of it.
