Cannot delete certain URLs from address bar

A few web addresses never delete when I clear history and internet
cache. They don't appear in the drop-down address list, but
autocomplete when I start to type in an address. How can I get rid of
the addresses?

See if this helps:

"How to Delete the Contents of the Temporary Internet Files Folder".

Try also...
CCleaner (freeware), from http://www.ccleaner.com/
About CCleaner, courtesy of Sandi Hardmeier - Microsoft MVP: "Be very very
VERY careful with CCleaner. We are seeing a lot of problems with that
software removing hotfix data making it impossible to uninstall IE7 and any
other hotfix/update."

And...
Free History Eraser (delete also index.dat files):
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm

The History folder can be deleted manually:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Then set your IE cache (TIF folder size) at about 50/60 mb (Internet
options -> Settings).

Hello!

Also try IEHistoryX from http://www.585Soft.com/IEHistoryX.asp

With this tools you can view and selectively delete history URLs,
cookie files, Temporary Internet Files, typed URLs (address bar URLs).
It not a freeware, but you can use it for 30 days without any
limitations.
