cannot create folder _vti_pvt

I have just installed FP2002 on a XP Pro laptop and when I try and
publish my website to it I get the error message "cannot create folder
_vti_pvt" and also can't access service.lck
I have tried changing the permissions on the my webs folder and read
the MS support site which hasn't helped.
Please help.

Is your host "FrontPage" extension enabled or have they (your host) enabled
the FrontPage extensions? That could be the problem.

had a similar problem with FP2002....check Tools>Page Options>
Compatibility and
make sure the "Servers" type is set correctly.

I have tried the suggestions with no success. I can import the website
and the FP extensions are working however I still get the error when I
try to publish to that computer only.
